I had been contemplating using a California based printing and fulfillment center for my P.O.D. T-shirt company for months. Sure, they align with T-shirt start-ups, but not my Pro-U.S. Constitution message.
Then, on the last day before leaving for Alaska, we met Chris with D2 Sports in Decatur. Chris immediately aligned with our brand, motioned us behind the counter, and kindly shown us his pro-American office, almost like a secret tour. Chris had his own “We The People” hideaway in a sports apparel showroom that usually houses soccer moms and baseball teams.
We shared values after values and stories about our businesses, and formed a partnership that has the potential to last until one of us retires. It just goes to show that finding friendships, partnerships and likeminded people aren’t as hard as you think, as long as you are steadfast in your beliefs.
